“…a decades-old lawsuit between inmates and the state.”
There’s a joke for you. The rest of us can’t get medical care to literally save our lives but criminals get the best for free. Oh yeah - and we pay for it.
Sorry Norm. My tax dollars are paying for this election. I want a say on who is elected. You want only Republicans voting - pay for it yourself. Until then I’ll be a Republican tomorrow and every primary day where I think my vote will make the most difference by registering as a Republican.
The Republican party always reminds me of a three stooges movie. There’s always a bunch of slap stick, there’s always a head shaking laugh to be had. In the end its all total nonsense. It’s really sad they take themselves so seriously at the same time.
“We will have the right to select candidates who represent our values without interference from other parties or special interest groups for the first time in nearly 40 years.”
Not quite. All a Dem has to do to vote in the Rep primary is sign a form saying they’re a Republican. The party doesn’t decide who’s Republican and who isn’t. That’s a personal decision.
There will be Dems and Independents voting in this primary, same as in the past.
How bout we just get rid of PACs period! theres nothing more bs in this political game right now than PACs, buying elections is not supposed to happen but that seems to be the way of the world these days, its sickening!
If one candidate and/or their backers file frivolous ethics charges against an incumbent as a “campaign tool”, I see nothing wrong with the candidate being attacked to use campaign funds to defend the politically motivated campaign attack.
I wonder if they will also call for reform to prevent campaign donations being used for legal defense funds for allegations related to ethics violations?
Lou Esposito also said that the Republican Commissioners of the first 2011 redistricting commission wanted a compromise (while he was preparing a lawsuit to challenge the law). Then he pushed Denney and Semanko to illegally fire the Republican commissioners of the second commission.
Now he wants to get rid of the “wrong kind” of republicans under the guise of the Second Amendment.
The ends justify the means, I guess. As long as the ends are his ends.
Nothing like honesty and integrity in state government!
I love the way he wants us to sell us on the KKK’s kinder, gentler image. This isn’t your father’s Klan! Think of the burning cross as an oversized candle. You’ve got to have the place lit up just to see with those crazy hoods on. Am I right? It comes in handy when the kids want to roast a hot dog or a marshmallow.
We’re not just a bunch of inbred imbeciles ranting against Jews and Blacks. No sir. We’re also bigoted against Gays and Hispanics. We’re equal opportunity bigots.
It’s honestly unbelievable the depth of “clownship” there is in Idaho politics. And locally the drum beater in charge is the cdapress. Even though I know there are good and decent people in Cda and area, it seems as if only scofflaws get any political traction. Most seem to either ignore the responsibilities the rest of us accept, or worse, they run from them. And in the background is the local rag cheering on those who seem to consistently steal from the poor and give to the rich. How long before Cda makes the national news like Bell, CA.
Of course our wonderful legislature won’t put any extra money back into education or other services that have been dramatically cut because our equally wonderful governor calls the under-funding public services the “new normal.” Time for another tax break for people that don’t need it just like the legislature did at the end of the last legislative session………..pathetic!

I will be a Republican for one day this year.
There seem to be more than three……..

OMG! Let me wipe away my tears. Cannibalism in the GOP. Can’t think of a more fitting end. Of course, the cure will likely be worse than the disease.

How disturbing I didn’t think Avista was right wing wacko time to dump the stock.
That’s how things work in Idaho. You take your money and toe the line - or else. You owe your soul to the company store…
So is Avista in bed with Nonini? How disturbing…

This is disgusting. I have faith that the voters of Boundary County will do the right thing & ignore this imbecile.
The people of Idaho are the real losers in all of this.

More fodder for more tax cuts … all based on low ball income predictions, not by experts but by the deep thinkers in the legistlaute.
Give the upper earners another couple percent in cuts and dodges. They need it to continue contributions to their puppet politicians.

Tax Cuts! Start at the top!
