Final preparations are being made by owner Steve Widmyer at the Fort Ground Grill for Blogfest 2012 — 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the historic Fortgrounds area near North Idaho College. Dunno if Steve has settled on pasta or heavy finger foods. But I do know that the food and soft drinks are free for followers of HucksOnline blog, Twitter & Facebook. Are you planning to attend?
Question: How many of the faces above from a Blogfest Past at Capone's can you name? And can you guess what we're watching?
MOBILE
We were watching Doug Clark singing one of his songs.
Yes!
I think he was singing “Tap Three Times” - and DFO was amazed that I was singing along with him. At the time, that was my favorite of his songs and was on more than one mix CD in my car.
I recgonize DFO, Bent, DickH, Taryn and Joe Butler if I’m not mistaken?
I’ll be there this year - I think Spazz has to work (still TBA) - so I look forward to it!
@ Idaho Dad re: “We were watching Doug Clark singing one of his songs.”
Bingo!
@ Digger re: “I recgonize DFO, Bent, DickH, Taryn and Joe Butler if I’m not mistaken?”
Tsk, tsk … you missed the blonde sitting at the table … I believe she brought some Captain Cupcake Cupcakes to the 2010 Blogfest at the Grill …
BTW, that’s Erica Curless in the lower lefthand corner of the photo. Only one I don’t know is the man in the back b/n Taryn & Joe Butler.
I’m planning on being there with one of the kids, but we have to juggle belated V-Day plans and an auction fundraiser for my son’s school.
Looking forward to it DFO. I was sitting next to my good pal Dick Haugen. I hope he will be able to attend this year. I am planning on bringing another one of my pals to the event this year. He is well known here (on the blog) and has agreed to go with me. I am so looking forward to the great food at the Ft. Ground Grill. DFO did you decide on the pasta bar or something else? The pasta is incredible! See you there.
I know I am smoking some pulled pork for Steve… I think he is planning on pulled pork sliders and more…
BTW, I am with you DFO on the names… that one guy stumps me but I think his handle had something to do with the name Eric
Unfortunately I drank all the Keith’s Bent Stick beer this past weekend. Sorry.
You are full it …
full *OF* it..
So sorry I won’t be there to talk, eat and laugh. Had such a great time at the few I did attend. Have fun and eat a double cupcake for me - if the beer is truly gone. :)
Sorry for the OT, Bent, am wondering your reaction to this story:

keithincda: I actually hope you really did, as I didn’t share any of mine with anyone. I know, selfish. I couldn’t help it. See you all there. I only came out of the cooler for a second and saw this, otherwise my ball has been keeping me company in the best sense possible. It glows in the dark. Such peace and quiet.
It will be great to shake some hands, and put some faces to the names on this blog… I’m gonna crack open an Irish Stout tonight, hoping its ready to share this weekend :)
Deena and I are looking forward to being there. We missed last summer’s bash because of other commitments and it was a real bummer.
As one of the earliest posters here, I’ve been blessed over the last nine years to meet some really nice people through HBO.
Thanks, DFO, and to Steve for hosting this bunch again.
Yes, 2 to 5 pm huh? Well, you guys can see my “conversion” van a 91 Ford that I finally got into somewhat better shape from last year when I bought it. I’m taking a break for the blog fest from moving and cleaning up around the old address. Thanks for providing the time as well as date for the up coming event.
Oh, don’t know if this was on the scanner traffic in the AM, but one of my new neighbors was talking politics with me when we watched CPD Blue go and bust some gal a few mobile homes up from mine. Not sure what that was about.
Never been to one, might make this one, depends on the magical call schedule.
Dang! I’m going to miss this year’s event, I’ll be in AZ —papers in hand— getting a birthday weekend of sushine with my bride. Best to everyone.
Ha! Green I just commented on the story itself…
