For parents who feel like they're failing to make sure their kids get enough sleep, this may be comforting: Your parents also failed, as did your grandparents and great-grandparents. A new study shows that kids get about half an hour less sleep than than recommended, the same deficit as a century ago, even though the recommended amounts have changed over that time. Andrea Petersen explains on Lunch Break. At least that's according to a study released Monday in the journal Pediatrics, which found that children haven't been getting the recommended hours of shuteye for at least a century/Andrea Petersen, Wall Street Journal. Question: How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
MOBILE
Not nearly enough :(
I try to get 8 hours on weekend days. But only 6-7 hours on weekdays. I got 6 1/2 last night …
I probably average six and a half, but would like to increase that, When I go to bed earlier, I wake up earlier, so it’s frustrating.
In bed before ten, up by about 5:15 am. Never more than 8 hours, rarely less than 7. Usually 8 hours on the money.
Kids in bed by 7:30 pm, up around 6:30 am, except the one who naturally sleeps more and can make it until 7.
