Right tackle Will Post honored by coaches

Will Post, an offensive lineman at Eastern Washington, was named Tuesday morning as an All-American.

Post, who also is a senior captain for the Eagles, was honored by the American Football Coaches Association.

A three-year letterman from Portland, the 6-foot-6, 310-pound Post is a major reason the Eagles are 10-2 this season and playing in the Football Championship Subdivision quarterfinals this Saturday against Illinois State.

Post has started all 12 games this season for the Eagles, who also finished atop the Big Sky Conference with a 7-1 record.

Post is the only Eastern player to make the squad; the AFCA honors only one player at each position.

Big Sky rival Montana State placed two players on the team, including quarterback DeNarius McGhee and linebacker Jody Owens. No other Big Sky players were selected.
