Washington Gov. Chris Gregoire has ordered flags at state buildings be flown at half-staff Tuesday to honor a Spokane serviceman killed in Afghanistan last week.

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Matthew H. Stiltz, a 2005 graduate of Shadle Park High School, was killed Nov. 12 when insurgents attacked his unit with artillery fire.

Stiltz’s body arrived in Spokane today; a memorial service will be held Saturday.
